There was once a young person named Red Riding Hood who lived with her mother on the edge of a large wood. One day her mother asked her to take a basket of fresh fruit and mineral water to her grandmother's house - not because this was womyn's work, mind you, but because the deed was generous and helped engender a feeling of community. Furthermore, her grandmother was not sick, but rather was in full physical and mental health and was fully capable of taking care of herself as a mature adult.
So Red Riding Hood set off with her basket through the woods. Many people believed that the forest was a foreboding and dangerous place and never set foot in it. Red Riding Hood, however, was confident enough in her own budding sexuality that such obvious Freudian imagery did not intimidate her.
On her way to Gradma's house, Red Riding Hood was accosted by a wold who asked her what was in her basket. She replied, "Some healthful snacks for my grandmother, who is certainly capable of taking care of herself as a mature adult."
The wolf said, "You know, my dear, it isn't safe for a little girl to walk through these woods alone."
Red Riding Hood said, "I find your sexist remark offensive in the extreme, but I will ignore it because of your traditional status as an outcast from society, the stress of which has caused you to develop your own, entirely valid, worldview. Now, if you'll excuse me, I must be on my way."
Red Riding Hood walked along the main path. But, because his status outside society had freed him from slavish adherence to linear, Western-style thought, the wolf knew a quicker route to Grandma's house. he burst into the house and ate Grandma, an entirely valid course of action for a carnivore such as himself. Then, unhampered by rigid, traditionalist notions of what was masculine or feminine, he put on Grandma's nightclothes and crawled into bed.
Red Riding Hood entered the cottage and said, "Grandma, I have brought you some fat-free sodium-free snacks to salute you in your role of a wise and nurturing matriarch."
From the bed, the wolf said softly, "Come closer, child, so that I might see you."
Red Riding Hood said, "Oh, I forgot you are as optically challenged as a bat. Grandma, what big eyes you have!"
"They have seen much, and forgiven much, my dear."
"Grandma, what a big nose you have - only relatively, of course, and certainly attractive in its own way."
"It has smelled much, and forgiven much, my dear."
"Grandma, what big teeth you have!"
The wolf said, "I am happy with who I am and what I am," and leaped out of bed. He grabbed Red Riding Hood in his claws, intent on devouring her. Red Riding Hood screamed, not out of alarm at the wolf's apparent tendency toward cross-dressing, but because of his wilful invasion of her personal space.
Her screams were heard by a passing woodchopper-person (or log-fuel technician, as he preferred to be called). When he burst into the cottage, he saw the melee and tried to intervene. But as he raised his axe, Red Riding Hood and the wolf both stopped.
"And just what do you think you're doing?" asked Red Riding Hood.
The woodchopper-person blinked and tried to answer, but no words came to him.
"Bursting in here like a Neanderthal, trusting your weapon to do your thinking for you!" she exclaimed. "Sexist! Speciesist! How dare you assume that womyn and wolves can't solve their own problems without a man's help!"
When she heard Red Riding Hood's impassioned speech, Grandma jumped out of the wolf's mouth, seized the woodchopper-person's axe, and cut his head off. After this ordeal, Red Riding Hood, Grandma and the wolf felt a certain commonality of purpose. They decided to set up an alternative household based on mutual respect and cooperation, and they lived together in the woods happily ever after.

Closer To The Edge
Past 2 weeks have been really rough and it's getting worse.
I'm very thankful for that one-day break I had on monday..went to watch inception! The only problem was that before the movie, my mind was seriously messed up. After the movie, it got worse and I was having mental warfare, and I couldn't really talk much. But still, Inception is a MUST-WATCH. MUST MUST MUST. And to everyone who's been asking me if I had weird dreams because of the movie: No, I didn't; My daily-nightly dreams are already weird enough and I doubt that they can get any weirder.
Anyway, taking in a movie gave me a rare chance to relax (which was absolutely terribly necessary). From now on, I shall watch at least one movie every month:D
Bub bub
Cramming for history CA tomorrow. Didn't have much time to study for it because of structured lessons. I never have time to study because of structured lessons..gah.
I shall go do my QT before continuing with history.
We are captains of the sky waving goodbye.

Dreams
I like dreams, because they never leave me alone and they always make me happy.
Not all dreams are meant to be fulfilled right? Some are just meant to be...dreamt. Sure, I have dreams about what kind of career I wanna pursue and all that stuff. Those dreams I can possibly fulfill. But who ever said that dreams have to always be about goals that you can reach and targets you can hit?
I know this sounds stupid, but one of my non-fulfillable dreams is to meet the real spongebob. I'm not talking about those big bouncy ones that stumble around shopping malls entertaining and hi-fiving little children. I've met a hundred and one of those, a hundred and one times. I wanna meet the REAL one in the flesh (or in the sponge), down in Bikini Bottom. Anyone would know that that's an impossible dream. But still, it's nice to think about it..it puts a smile on my face whenever I'm sad.
So what's the matter with dreaming unrealistic dreams? What's wrong with imagining things that'll never ever happen? NOTHING.
So please don't look down on my silly never-gonna-happen dreams. They make me happy.

What Faith Can Do
My new favourite song:D What Faith Can Do by Kutless
Everybody falls sometimes Gotta find the strength to rise From the ashes and make a new beginning Anyone can feel the ache You think it’s more than you can take But you're stronger, stronger than you know Don’t you give up now The sun will soon be shining You gotta face the clouds To find the silver lining
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains Hope that doesn’t ever end Even when the sky is falling I’ve seen miracles just happen Silent prayers get answered Broken hearts become brand new That’s what faith can do
It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard Impossible is not a word It’s just a reason for someone not to try Everybody’s scared to death When they decide to take that step Out on the water It’ll be alright Life is so much more Than what your eyes are seeing You will find your way If you keep believing
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains Hope that doesn’t ever end Even when the sky is falling I’ve seen miracles just happen Silent prayers get answered Broken hearts become brand new That’s what faith can do
Overcome the odds You don't have a chance (That’s what faith can do) When the world says you can’t It’ll tell you that you can!
I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains Hope that doesn’t ever end Even when the sky is falling And I’ve seen miracles just happen Silent prayers get answered Broken hearts become brand new That’s what faith can do That's what faith can do! Even if you fall sometimes You will have the strength to rise
