Reviews on various stuff for June
Here are some Movie, Book, Music and product reviews just for fun.
MoviesYOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHANWhen?19 JuneWhat? This rip-roaring comedy takes funny man Adam Sandler into familiar territory. Zohan is an Israeli commando who tires of his life as a killing machine. So he fakes his own death to pursue his one true dream - becoming a hair stylist. In his new found role, Zohan becomes a hit with his customers, who queue up outside his salon for his "special services". But when Zohan's true identity is exposed, he risks losing his new found life and career. Why watch?Like all of Adam Sandler's movies, this one promises to be quite a laugh. There are camos by fellow comedians, Rob Schneider and Kevin James, and even a spot by diva Mariah Carey as well.THE INCREDIBLE HULK
When?
12 June
What?
After Ang Lee's dark and dreary
Hulk in 2003, this film sets out to rewrite the origins to follow the comics more closely. After being exposed to radiation, Bruce Banner inadvertently transforms into the Hulk when angered or stressed. Meanwhile, the United States army tries to replicate his accident to give their shoulders incredible powers. Instead, they get the abomination - a larger, more powerful monster that cannot be stopped!
Why watch?
This version of the Hulk shows a more human side. The film also explores the love story between Bruce Banner and the hapless Betty Ross.
GET SMART
When?
19 June
What?
Maxwell Smart, agent 86 for CONTROL, is promoted to take down the forces of evil known as KOAS. The problem with Maxwell, is that he is a bumbling idiot! He may have the cool spy gadgets, but this guy's no James Bond. Thankfully, he has the competent yet enigmatic agent 99 at his side!
Why watch?
Get smart was a popular TV show back in the 60s, famed for his sharp wit and quirky humour. You can expect the same from this comedy that looks set to become one of 2008's biggest hits.
